How The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals Impacted Me

Investigating the UN Sustainable Development Goals has influenced my thinking and actions. Around the house I have started to turn off the lights and other electronic devices which is a way to sustainably use my energy so I don’t waste energy I don’t need. This is an easy way to contribute to the accomplishment of goal 7 Affordable and Clean Energy because the idea behind this goal is to ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all. Wasting energy that isn’t needed is not how you sustainably use energy, this gives limited access to others in need of your excess energy. I have started to think about my future and without these goals accomplished it seems like there can be many problems in the long run. In the future I see myself using an energy efficient electric car to help reduce unwanted greenhouse gas emissions which are destroying our atmosphere.This type of car helps stop climate change by not releasing greenhouse gases into the atmosphere whereas most everyday  cars do in fact emit these greenhouse gases.These cars are a part of the solution for Goal 13 Climate Action. I also think in the future or even right now that I can have a big influence on the world with something as small as my school blog.This blog can change the way many people think about the world and what they can do to accomplish the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

What I Learned About The 2016 Presidential Election

I learned through classroom examination about election issues and the candidates. First I learned that there is more than two candidates there are four Hillary Clinton, Jill Stein, Donald Trump, and  Gary Johnson. I also learned that these election issues are really hard to fully understand. Every ¨ solution ¨ for every issue has pros and cons that need to be known when making a decision. Also, Every candidate has his/her opinion on each issue and the candidates can agree on the solutions for them. There is really no right answer in politics.Through classroom examination of election issues and the candidates, that is what I learned.

Google Search Tips / Open and Closed Questions

You should use both closed and open questions because they give different style answer. The closed question gives a more short, brief (closed) answer whereas an open question gives more of a long, detailed, (open) answer.Closed: What sports does Joe play?Open: why does Joe play the sports he plays

You should use Google search tips to to make researching easier. The two search tips I find the most useful are  - minus sign and double quotes ¨ ¨. Double Quotes ¨ ¨: this tip finds the phrase that is in the quotes word for wordMinus sign - : this tip cancels out the word after the symbol from the search
